IDR is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Stafford, Texas. This role is ideal for individuals with technical skills gained from hands-on technical roles or customer service experience. The position involves performing hardware deployment, configuration, and testing for payment terminals and related devices, supporting the company's device deployment initiatives.
Position Overview for the Technical Support Specialist:
- Perform Remote Key Injection (RKI) on payment terminals and related devices
- Configure devices according to merchant file builds and deployment specifications
- Test hardware and payment functionality to confirm readiness
- Stage, prep, label, and package devices for shipment
- Maintain organized inventory control and tracking logs
Requirements for the Technical Support Specialist:
- 1-2 years technical or customer service experience
- Technical experience from roles such as Geek Squad or similar hands-on technical roles
- Ability to perform hardware configuration and testing
- Strong organizational skills for inventory management
- Good communication skills to coordinate with deployment and support teams
